CUSA Staff Coach
Head Coach 2012 Boys Elite
I returned to the Dayton area after retiring in 2019 following 37 years of worldwide service for the US Marine Corps and US Department of State.
I grew up playing soccer as a boy in Ipswich, England where my father was posted in the US Air Force. We moved to the Dayton area when I has in high school, where I was a starting midfielder for Northmont High School and Wright State University.
I later played for Men’s amateur teams in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, La Paz, Bolivia and Frankfurt, Germany.
I previously served as the Head Coach of the Northmont Boys Junior Varsity team and the Marine Corps Base 29 Palms team.
I am very focused on both developing my players individual soccer skills: including dribbling, passing, shooting and tackling, and teaching them the fundamentals of positional soccer. I try to integrate my prior knowledge and experience with English, South American and German styles of soccer into my coaching.
