2005 Girls Gold
I started playing soccer at a very young age and spent most of my youth playing soccer year round for select teams in the Dayton area.
I feel grateful to have played collegiate soccer at St. Francis College in Indiana. My entire career I played center halfback and I always enjoyed being able to be everywhere on the field, even in the days when that level of movement wasn’t as expected.
I am married to Ryan Boswell and we have two great kids, our boy Wade is 6 years younger than our daughter Samantha, who is currently 13. They both are currently playing for CUSA soccer. We used to live on the east coast and have lived in Waynesville now for the past 11 years.
I have a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree and also received Quality Improvement Methodology training at the James Anderson Center in Cincinnati.
I have been a nurse for 19 years and worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit most of my career.
I am now a Clinical Quality Program Manager at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center in the Perinatal Institute and am very grateful to work for this leading pediatric hospital.
US Soccer F License
I have been coaching soccer for 7 years. I coached recreational co-ed in Waynesville and also at the YMCA age 4, 5, & 6 year olds for 3 years.
At the same time I coached 5 years of girls select soccer with Waynesville Attack. I have been an assistant coach with CUSA girls 2005 for 1.5 years.
“Perfection is the enemy of improvement”.
Especially in today’s atmosphere where there is so much ‘fake” perfection visible everywhere on the internet, I find this quote genuinely authentic.
Everything we do in life from our work, to our health, and especially in soccer and sports requires continuous work and small changes that then add up to massive improvement over time. The way forward is not to look at others and think they have it easy or were born with what they have, rather to envision somewhere you honestly want to be in a couple months or years and then get up every day and work towards that vision.
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the second best time is now!
