Important Information Regarding the Tryout Process:
- Players should bring a soccer ball, water to drink, and wear a white t-shirt. Shin guards are required.
- Players should arrive 30 minutes early on the first night of tryouts to check in.
- Parents are expected to attend an information meeting during tryouts.
- Players selected to a CUSA team will be notified by web site, phone, or email within two days of the last scheduled tryout date for that age group.
Our Program Offers:
- Three levels of teams at each age group to offer the best fit for each player in terms of ability, time commitment, travel commitment, and cost. We have something for everyone!
- Professional training staff with college and professional playing experience, as well as coaching licenses from Ohio South Youth Soccer, United States Soccer Federation, and the National Soccer Coaches Association. Coaches attend monthly coaching education meetings, as well as other coaching education events. At least one session per week with a professional club trainer.
- Goalkeeper coaching specifically designed to raise the level of goalkeeping throughout the club with the program designed and run by former collegiate goalkeeper at Clemson and Wright State and US U-20 National team goalkeeper, John Mers.
- Full time Director of Coaching and Assistant Director of Coaching
- Support for the Olympic Development Program
- Club wide support by Nike
- The Mead Cup - one of the largest and best youth tournaments in the country.
- Comprehensive training program to include team training, technical training, individual player development plans, goal setting, nutrition, sports psychology, strength and conditioning, academic support, and life skills education.
- Competitive training environment with an open door program that allows players to attend other team training sessions either as make-up sessions or to enhance their development.
- Written age appropriate curriculums by age group
- Written player evaluations in the fall and spring.
- Free extra training offerings: Creative Moves, Goalkeeper Training, Striker Academy
- Community involvement with TOP Soccer, Columbus Crew, and local soccer stores
- Written coaching evaluations
- Mentoring and Leadership activities
